The Revolutionary Students Union puts out double sided Tri-fold Pamphlets on a wide range of vital issues. In addition, we have an introduction to the RSU that can help explain our mission. Please feel free to print this off as needed.
The Revolutionary Students Union
This tri-fold provides an introduction to the Revolutionary Students Union, what we aim to accomplish, and some basic information about the problems of capitalism. This tri-fold will prove most helpful when starting up an RSU or flyering at events where people are unfamiliar with the RSU.
This tri-fold lays out some of the most startling facts about the ongoing wars and their costs. In addition, it lays out the structure of imperialism and why the US government continues these incredibly unprofitable wars. This tri-fold will prove helpful in any anti-war actions or as a partial material for counter-recruitment.
This tri-fold lays out some of the most serious ways capitalism continues to damage our environment. It also lays out why the problem of environmental destruction is system rather than individual. This tri-fold also lays out why the damage to the environment stands as a class issue rather than simply an activist issue. This tri-fold would be best used at environmental, animal rights, or sustainability events.
This tri-fold lays out some facts and myths about immigration. It especially points out how much of the "immigration problem" is actually caused by the system itself through free trade agreements like NAFTA that devastate foreign economies and leave their people with no where to go. This tri-fold would be best used at an immigration event, among oppressed nationalities, or as a fact check to those who are unfamiliar with the immigration debate.
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, and Queer (LGBTQ) tri-fold covers not only some of the ways in which LGBTQ are oppressed, but in the ways that the LGBTQ struggle provides a revolutionary outwork to struggle against the entire system of capitalism. In addition, it provides a rallying call that goes beyond simple "activism" to demand that those fighting for the LGBTQ struggle understand it as part of a wider system of oppression. This tri-fold works well when dealing with sexual and gender oppression and when attempting to inform people about the nature of the LGBTQ struggle.
The RSU Women's pamphlet lays out the nature of women's exploitation by this system. In addition, it explains how health care and especially women's reproductive rights are a human right for which all should fight. Furthermore, it lays out the dangers of liberal feminism and how that does not actually further the condition of women. This tri-fold works well in any struggle for women's or reproductive rights. It also can be used as an introduction to women's liberation for those unfamiliar with that struggle.
